GET YOUR FREAK ON AT THE MADC’S ‘FREAKY FRIDAY’

Get your freak on and freak out at the awe inspiring display of Melbourne’s creative talent that is the 2007 Melbourne Advertising & Design Club’s (MADC) finalist’s cocktail party, taking place on April 13 at the funky new venue Studio 3.
A new and freakishly fast format for the Awards show on June 15 means that only the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be shown on the big night. So, Freaky Friday is your only chance to see, hear and celebrate all the work that’s made it into the finalist stage for the MADC Awards Annual for 2007.
Last year saw a record number of entries and this year did not disappoint. Heath Rudduck, President of the MADC commented, “This year we saw increases in category sizes, particularly DM and Digital which is exciting to see. And of course with high numbers of entries, the judges’ task gets tougher every year. This year, the judges were encouraged to be tough, but fair, and we hope that the results revealed at the finalist party will represent the cream of the work witnessed this year.”
The judges, lead by Paul Catmur (pictured), Executive Creative Director, Y&R Australia and New Zealand, waded through the best of Melbourne’s creative product.

Is that a list of consumers judging the work????

With one or two noteable exceptions (Tony & Paul) has anyone actually heard of any of this much vaunted Jury?

How long will it be before MADC becomes AWARD Melbourne? By the looks of the committee and judges it can only be a matter of minutes.

oh, was it that memorable Connex campaign where commuters were implored 'not to hold others back'? If so, it certainly incited strong feelings in the target audience.
