CAMPAIGN BRIEF MELBOURNE LEGENDARY LUNCH BACK ON
Campaign Brief's Melbourne Legendary Xmas Lunch, slated for One Fitzroy Street, St Kilda in mid December, will go ahead after all, thanks to The Guild and Digital Pictures Melbourne coming on board as sponsors.
Lynchy, it seems the Melbourne legendary lunches I've been to are either sponsored by Sydney companies (like Emerald City and Sound Reservoir) or Kiwi companies (like Sweet Shop and Curious). It's no wonder a lot of Melbourne TVC work goes to Sydney and Auckland! If the local industry is that down, perhaps a few of the big Melbourne ad agencies should sponsor the event instead?
Hey Lynchy, What about a Legendary BBQ in front of Fitzroy Number One at Catani Gardens? BYO chop and grog and we're sorted! Any excuse to get together and on the piss!
11.27 - I (Honey Films) sponsored the Dec lunch last year in conjunction with Sound Reservoir. It didn't help us get considered for any work, but we had a lovely day!

ReplyDeleteForget the Melbourne one altogether - move it to Perth
ReplyDeleteWhy don't creatives pay for their own lunch. They get free ads made from production companies already.
ReplyDeleteHey Stoker, you ought to get together with the Bram in the Saatchi planning director story and start an agency. You could call it Bram Stoker.
ReplyDeleteNo man, called the fucker Dracula: Ads are in our Blood.
