MTV DOES ANOTHER 180
MTV Networks Australia in association with Optus and Samsung have launched the 2007 One80 Project with two humorous spots directed by David Jagoda that appeals to anybody who has a good idea for a drama to submit their 180 second pilot and script to ONE80PROJECT.COM.AU
The winner will commissioned to produce a one hour pilot drama for MTV to be screened cross-platform on Broadcast Television, Mobile Phones and the Internet
This year MTV are broadening their message by appealing to the general public and not just industry professionals via a campaign that demonstrates that a good idea can happen to anybody, at anytime.
With a mixture of understated humour and a little schedenfreud, we illustrate this egalitarian notion by showing what happens to a young hair stylist and a security guard when they experience a ‘lightbulb’ moment or an epiphany, at an inappropriate time.

Very very weak. Great opportunity wasted.
Like the moose head touch. fUNNY. Probably the best work Optus has ever done.
Sorry, where's the humor which you promised?
Had a good laugh at the moose as well. Heaps better than the usual crap.
Good one Jagoda. Nice one MTV.
Ummm... Award School would be ashamed.
Best ad in the world? No. Pretty good for a normally crap client - yes very. At least there are no fucking animals singing in this one.
whatever... at the end of the day did anyone recognise what the hell it was for? Nope, I didn't either. something about ideas you get when you look up?
