BAM SYDNEY, Y&R ARGENTINA DID IT FIRST IN 1999

The one thing that the CB Blog will be good at over time is unearthing contenders for CB's 'Deja View' page. Simply because so many industry people are now CB Bloggers (see counter) and many have long memories. Which brings us to Inspiral Condoms (top left), via Y&R Auckland which was recently posted. Unfortunately for its creators, the idea appears to have been done twice before, both in 1999, one for Condom Kingdom (middle left) created by Paul Fenton and Rob Martin-Murphy while at BAM SSB Sydney. (The headline on the BAM version says, "For all kinds of animals"). Ironically, the other was for Tulipan (below left) via Y&R Auckland's sister shop Young & Rubicam Argentina, which was shortlisted at Cannes the same year, while the BAM version missed out.

it's completely different. one is made in CGI and the other is made from real balloons.

i like the 3rd one. I mean, the first one, the original, the one with 4 pigs fucking. Are they pigs? They look like pigs. Pigs are so much better than giraffes.

Oh and 8:09pm, call me crazy, but i think 6.50pm might have been having a lend. And i'm not talking about the borrowing kind (like Y&R auckland do with ideas - or at least on this occasion).

I did a condom ad once, it was turned down by the client, which for the life of me I can't understand.

We open on me having rough hardcore sex with a goat.

VO: When you're going extra hard you'll need an extra hardy condom.

SUPER: Go hard and stay safe, Durex extra. (or the 7 other brands I pitched this to)

I realise there could have been some kind go gag or twist in the 45 seconds, but I was quite keen to keep in simple and pure.

I'm currently re working it for sensitive condoms, then I'll pitch it to them again.

im with you 9:31, however worse than an ad for condoms, the borrowed scammage in question was an ad for a dodgy web-site that hosts ads for condoms.

Y&arse you must be taking the piss surely...

1:05pm I presume Y&R will be needing loads of people relatively soon.

Advice,
never look Matt McGrath in the eyes at least not for too long, (he has no soul) infact he's an alien posing as a human, he'll soon know you're onto him and things get very awkward very quickly. He takes his hatchlings with him everywhere...
