BIDENKO LURED BY TEQUILA
Peter Bidenko, CD Direct of Lowe Hunt Sydney, has been lured to the position of creative director of Tequila, Sydney.
Bidenko (pictured) was an integral part of Lowe Hunt's multi award-winning Lynxjet campaign, winner of nine Cannes Lions and the ADMA Grand Prix in 2006. Lynxjet was the most awarded DM campaign in the world last year, according to the WON Report.
The hiring coincides with sister shop Whybin\TBWA Sydney snaring M&C Saatchi Sydney senior suit Paul Bradbury to the position of General Manager, effective next week. Prior to M&C, Bradbury was GM of Arnold, Sydney.

I agree 8.45. 'Direct, the new cool' was terriffic and if Pete can replicate the same quality of work at Tequila then they will be the big winners. I think it's Pete, the new cool!

How quickly we forget.
Long before he was diarising his exploits in Buenos Aires, Nobby was the Nobby of DM.
He took a sleepy DM shop in Melbourne and turned it into one of the hottest agencies in the country.

Take a look through your back issues of Campaign Brief. You'll see that in the mid to late nineties WNM were on a creative par with Clemengers.
They cleaned up at MADC and then wrote one of the best ever house ads to publicise the fact.
Rumour has it Nobby was lined up to become CD of Saatch in Melbourne about ten years ago. The job didn't happen because he didn't have enough "big tv" experience.
Saatchi Melbourne has long since closed.
As for Nobby, well his time in DM obviously didn't prevent him from getting to the top.
Cream rises as they say.
Good geezer, even better laugh.
So that's what happened to the One.Tel Dude.
He's won more Cannes Lions than all the mainstream 'shit-that-folds' naysayers in the Australian industry put together.
And he's a great self-publicist!
