CB BLOG LAGS IN GLOBAL BATTLE OF THE BLOGS
As you may be aware the CB BLOG has been nominated in the Battle of the Ad Blogs 2006, one of five in the category "Best Ad Commentary not from the USA". However, due to the inate laziness of Aussies and Kiwis, only 58 of our 2000+ registered CB Bloggers have so far bothered to click a simple button and vote for us. But it's still not too late for the CB Blog to leapfrog the Italians (210), Dutch (85) and Indians (61).
What's it all about? A core group of adgrunts worldwide have selected the nominees by surfing ad blogs until their eyes were square and voting for their top choices. Having sifted out these gold nuggets in each category, they've opened the vote to
the public and the battle may now begin!
The battle will rage until Feb 10, and all the world's adgrunts are
invited to cast a vote for their favourite in each category.
The blog with the most votes in a category wins the battle 2006, a badge
to proudly wear on their blog and a snazzy t-shirt (their choice of size
and colour) with their battle tank #1 status on it, full bragging rights
included. The blog with most votes overall will get something extra.

So we have to judge your work and decide whether it stacks up. That makes for a nice change, doesn't it.
Well hopefully we are better than Adverblog from Italy (210 votes) and BlogFonk from The Netherlands (85 votes), currently #1 and #2 respectively. The good news is we added a few votes today and are #3 with 68 votes, overtaking India's Commercial Break (62 votes).
Since yesterday the CB Blog has passed the Indians to claim the #3 spot, with our vote going from 58 to 71. The bloody Italians are still leading (211) followed by the Dutch (86) but CB can sense they are spent, while we have plenty of votes in reserve, as long as we get over this post Xmas laziness. Even if everyone who went to the CB Legendary Xmas Lunches in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland voted (and want to get an invite this year), we should add another 250 today and get to #1.
