COUNTDOWN TO ADFEST

A record number of Australian and New Zealand creatives and TVC production people are expected to attend the 9th Asia Pacific Adfest Festival, held March 9 to 11, 2006 in Pattaya Beach, Thailand. While CB Asia has supported the Festival since its humble beginnings, and include AdFest in the CB Asia Creative Rankings, for the first time CB Australia/NZ will also see what all the fuss is about.
Over the last few years, many of Australia and New Zealand's top TVC production companies have sent their people along to mix it with their Asian clients, but there is also a recent push to entice Aussie and Kiwi creatives as well. After all, Adfest has always welcomed entries from Australia and New Zealand (no doubt the Carlton 'Big Ad' will do well this year), so why not go there too? The Festival is easier to get to than Cannes and of course a helluva lot cheaper. And because it's basically a long weekend from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th March, it's not as much time out of the office as doing Cannes.
Several agency networks now hold their regional creative meetings just prior to or after AdFest so it's fast turning into an essential event on the advertising calendar.
Located in Pattaya, the hub of Thailand's East Coast, PEACH (Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall) is a world-class multipurpose meeting facility. It is a 4-storey building built along the slopes of the cliff in a stand-alone complex occupying 10 acres set amidst 64 acres of tropical parkland.
The convention and exhibition hall which is located on the first floor occupies an area of 4,851 m2 and can accommodate up to 5,800 persons theatre style or 2,100 for banquets. There are also 9 meeting rooms which can be used as breakout rooms with capacities ranging from 50 to 150.

Secure your AdFest Registration today and join in the fun.
