Sydney-based Plaza Films has further cemented their positioning as one of the world’s leading production companies. The work of its lead director Paul Middleditch has been recognized in SHOTS “100 All-Time Best Ads from 100 issues of SHOTS”.
Middleditch and Exec. Producer Peter Masterton have three campaigns featured in the prestigious SHOTS “100 All-Time Best Ads”:
SKY-TV “Scoreless” (DDB Auckland)
Bud Light “Fridge” (Downtown Partners Toronto)
Carlton Draft “Big Ad” (George Patterson Y&R Melbourne).
In March 2007, Plaza Films was ranked 8th in the category of SHOTS “World’s Most Awarded Production Companies” in the annual Shots Grand Prix. Middleditch was ranked 5th in the category of the “World’s Most Awarded Directors”.
Cannes Lions 2006 saw Plaza in the top 10 world productions companies with Cannes Finalist works from both Middleditch and Nicholas Reynolds, and Lions for both Big Ad and LYNXjet.
Middleditch also recently won the Mobius for Best Direction for Carlton Draft “Flashbeer”, and the spot picked up a second Mobius for Best Humour, and had two Superbowl spots in the USA. He has had his work run in the Superbowl for the last five years in succession.
